SJIF has four Spinning® classes available for you can join. These classes are offered in the morning or the evening to fit a busy schedule.
Spinning® is a form of indoor cycling that is performed on specially designed stationary bikes in a group setting and is led by a Spinning® certified instructor.
Spinning bikes are equipped with a weighted flywheel in the front that picks up speed as you pedal, and the seats and handlebars are adjustable, so you feel like you're riding on a real bike. There's a knob below the handlebars that allows you to adjust the tension, making pedaling easier or harder, as you ride down flat roads, up mountain sides, and down hills.
Spinning® is very popular, especially among people who don't care for traditional exercise classes. Classes are between 45 -60 minutes in duration and are a great way to burn calories and keep in shape. The classes vary according to the instructor and involve different techniques to keep you on target. Benefits of participating in a regular SPIN class include:
